Clowns, WTF.
So at work today there was a disagreement about whether or not clowns are creepy. Obviously, not being insane, I said that clowns are clearly creepy but it turns out that after a small and very unscientific poll that I was in the minority. What is perhaps more strange is that the closeness of the vote (roughly 51% saying not creepy to 49% saying creepy) mirrors the division in recent elections between Republicans and Democrats. Following this logic could one suggest that Republicans love clowns and are therefore creepy? No, but that doesn't stop me from saying so.
What do you think? Clowns - creepy or not creepy? Why?

So am i still supposed to trust that this organization can put on a reason-based forum featuring political candidates or should I just start munching out on this bag of M&Ms I have and pass out?
Gordon
you didn't answer the question, Muncho.
the real question is, which came first, black face or clowns? if the answer is black face, then yes, clowns are creepy.
fyi, I just looked on wikipedia to try to answer my question and all I got for searching "clown" was a page that just says "cepko is gay."
Weird! If you click on the word clown in the post it should take you to the Wikipedia page for clowns.
totally creepy.
Interesting. . . this clown thing is really getting your panties in a bunch. . .
I am far from being a Republican - yet I'm not creeped out by clowns. Good theory though.

Ok, Pogo, Clowns are creepy. But man if the money was right I'd still slap on that greaspaint and make animals balloons. I don't care. i'll sell out. Please, someone, write me a check so i can sell out. I asking you to!
Now, short stack, you answer my question.

Oh Gordon, one of my saddest memories is coming back to Wuxtry one December to find out that you and I had been taken off the schedule (yes, we were victims of the mid-90's trend in record store downsizing) then as I left the store I saw you standing across the street ringing the bell as a Salvation Army Santa. You broke my heart that day Gordo, but you sure stuck it to Wuxtry by making them watch you out in the cold every day ringing your little bell and giving all those tiny angels their wings. So, yeah I guess if the money was right old Gordon would clown-up, that's just the kind of guy he is... TCB!
Anyway, to answer your question - yes you should trust that we can put on reasoned debates because the newsroom has their shit together. I can say with confidence that the folks running the newsroom do everything in their power to keep the quality up, so don't ever make the mistake of blaming them for shortcomings.
But go ahead and eat those M&Ms anyway.
